ABOUT KAELA DORE
Experience that informs a clear and strategic approach.
Kaela Dore is the principal solicitor of KD & Co Lawyers and practises primarily in family law.
​
Her experience includes advising clients across a broad range of family law matters, including parenting disputes, property settlements, divorce and applications for consent orders. She also has experience in wills and estates and criminal law, which provides a broader perspective when advising on complex matters where legal issues intersect.
​
Kaela was appointed as a Deputy Registrar in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia in 2021. In this role, she was responsible for determining Applications for Consent Orders, conducting divorce hearings and managing a range of procedural and case management matters, as well as facilitating negotiations and dispute resolution.
​
This experience has provided her with a detailed understanding of court processes and decision-making, which informs the advice she provides to clients and the strategies she develops in family law matters.
​
Her approach is focused on helping clients reach practical and considered outcomes, with an emphasis on preparation, negotiation and avoiding unnecessary court proceedings wherever possible.
