Negotiation Support
Structured support during active negotiations
Service Description
Negotiation Support is designed for clients who are actively engaged in discussions or negotiations and require ongoing strategic input without entering into full representation. At this stage, the focus is on maintaining clarity, responding effectively, and making informed decisions as negotiations progress. This service provides structured support to assist you in navigating offers, proposals, and communication as they arise. Rather than an open-ended engagement, support is provided in defined blocks. This allows you to obtain guidance at key points in the process while maintaining control over scope and cost. We work with you to assess proposals, consider your position, and determine how best to respond in a way that aligns with your overall strategy. What this service includes • Review of proposals, correspondence, or negotiation positions within the agreed block • Strategic guidance on how to approach and respond • Discussion of options and potential outcomes • Limited written input or commentary where appropriate What this service does not include • Going on record or acting as your solicitor in the matter • Direct communication with the other party or their representatives • Drafting of formal agreements or court documents • Ongoing or unlimited support outside the agreed block Any further work will require a separate costs agreement or an additional support block. Ideal client This service is suited to you if you are already engaged in negotiations and require guidance at key points, but do not require full representation.
Cancellation Policy
Negotiation Support is provided on a fixed-fee block basis. Each block includes a defined amount of time to be used for review of material, strategic advice, and limited written input as required. The fee is payable upfront and is not held in trust. It is treated as payment for a defined legal service. Time spent is deducted from the purchased block. Once the allocated time has been used, further work will require the purchase of an additional block or entry into a separate costs agreement. This service is limited in scope. It does not include going on record, direct communication with the other party or their representatives, attendance at mediation, or drafting of formal agreements or court documents unless otherwise agreed in writing. Booking or purchasing a block creates a limited scope solicitor-client relationship for the purpose of this service only. No ongoing retainer is created unless otherwise agreed in writing. The advice provided is based on the information made available at the time. No guarantee is given as to the outcome of any negotiation or matter. Any timeframes for review or response will depend on availability and the nature of the material provided. Urgent work is not guaranteed unless expressly agreed. Blocks are to be used within a reasonable period from the date of purchase. Unused time is not refundable unless otherwise required by law. If a scheduled consultation forms part of a block, appointments may be rescheduled with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations within 24 hours may result in forfeiture of that allocated time.
